Bac X. Nguyen

Xuan-Bac Nguyen is a dedicated PhD student at CSCE - University of Arkansas in the United States, where he is under the guidance and supervision of Professor Khoa Luu. He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Chonnam National University, where he worked alongside Professor Gueesang Lee. His academic journey began with a B.Sc degree in Electronics and Telecommunication from the University of Engineering and Technology, Vietnam National University.

Bac’s research primarily focuses on intriguing areas such as Computer Vision, Unsupervised Learning, Self-supervised Learning, and more. He has consistently demonstrated his expertise in these fields and has actively contributed to the academic community.

Notably, Bac has established himself as a highly skilled Kaggle competitor, achieving an impressive rank of around 50 out of 130,000 participants worldwide. He has garnered numerous accomplishments from prestigious AI competitions such as CVPR, MICCAI, ISBI, and RSNA.

In addition to his academic pursuits, Bac has gained valuable industry experience. He has served as a Senior AI Research Engineer at VinAI Research Vietnam, showcasing his proficiency in cutting-edge technologies. Furthermore, he has worked as an Embedded Software Engineer at i-Bridge in Japan, where he contributed to projects involving Face Recognition, 3D Perception Object Detection for Autonomous Vehicles, and Driver Monitoring Systems.
